the stars like sand

I first saw "Star Wars" many years ago when it was originally released and was captivated from the very first instant when the large Imperial Battle Cruiser flew in over my head onto the cinema screen.

c3poThe story is a timeless one of good against evil (the Rebel Alliance against the might of the evil Imperial Empire with its ultimate weapon - The Death Star)

Due to the courage and tenacity of the main characters Good triumphs over evil. Although not every trace of the evil Empire has been removed as we discover in the sequel "The Empire Strikes Back"

The Special Effects are marvellous and help to convey the vastness of space. To travel the immense distances Hans Solo pilots his spacecraft "The Millennium Falcon" through hyperspace.

This is pure fiction at the moment but it set me thinking once again about God's incredible creation. The bible tells us that God created the universe and all that is in it including us, the human race.

He gave us a beautiful world to live in and minds to help us learn about His Creation. As we have discovered more and more about our world and our Universe we have found beauty beyond imagining and amazing complexity in atoms, life and stars. The Hubble Space Telescope is also revealing to us the vastness of the Universe with more stars than there are grains of sand on all the beaches of Earth combined!

Yes, our God Reigns and the most wonderful fact of all is that He loves you and me.

That is not fiction but a fact of history.

Whether at school or college I trust that you will come to learn more about God and His son Jesus Christ and that you will learn to see His wonderful presence in all the Good things around you.
