Children's Summer Holiday Club

Every summer we run a week-long holiday club for children in the Knightswood area.

This club is one of several clubs that operate throughout the summer school break. Our partner churches (Congregational, Baptist, United Free) also run summer clubs and care is taken to ensure that these clubs operate on different weeks throughout the summer.

All volunteers who staff these clubs hold "Disclosure Scotland" certificates and each church places great emphasis on child protection, health and safety.

Each day a variety of activities is offered including games, arts and crafts, singing songs, juice and biscuits, bible dramas and lots more fun. It's a great way to spend the summer with your friends and make new friends at the same time.

Club themes in recent years in St David's have included, "Desert Detectives, Going for Gold, and Spaceship Discovery". In 2000 we held our summer club in collaboration with the 1st Baptist Church, Washington, New Jersey, USA. You can read about Mission 2000 here.
